Objectives
WATERWISE aims to strengthen higher education capacity in Europe on environmental issues and promote awareness about water sustainability within the context of the European green transition. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the project combines research, academic training, outreach, and multi-sector collaboration.


Project results
WATERWISE will achieve its objectives through the production of 5 main outcomes.
- A comprehensive Hydrostrategy that contributes to knowledge and policy development on sustainable water management
- A modular higher education programme on water management, including the award of blue credentials to trained individuals
- Establishment of an international network of experts in water management
- Increased public awareness on the importance of water sustainability through research, education and communication
- Development and use of innovative digital educational tools and methodologies
